Art or life?

This is the choice that faces B as he dares to pull off the ultimate piece of performance art. “Ultimate” is the perfect word: if the piece is a success, it will be his last. Yes, B is attempting to enlist his closest confidante and co-conspirator A to kill him on camera, all for the sake of art. But what does B owe art, anyway? A argues his obligations to this life run much deeper. What if nobody cares? Won’t it all be for naught? Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but at what point are we beholden to beauty?
