Synopsis
In Greek Mythology, the Omphalos refers to a pair of stones which the God Zeus had two eagles fly around the world with, in order to circumnavigate its curve. The point at which the two eagles and Omphali met, would therefore be a metaphorical center of the world. In this experimental piece, I explore the possibilities that come with accepting that the center cannot hold indefinitely, and its collapse, though chaotic, is necessary. Deleting The Omphalos documents the moment when we remove the singular frame of reference, and the beauty of the resulting contradictions.
